Reno, NV (April 16, 2024) — Saint Mary’s Health Network, a member of Prime Healthcare, is proud to announce that Reka Danko, MD, Chief Medical Officer for Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center, has been named by Becker’s Hospital Review as one of the 2024 “180 Chief Medical Officers to Know”. Dr. Danko is a CMO who leads with a focus on clinical operations, physician and payor relations, and the improvement of critical hospital performance metrics.
As Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Danko oversees clinical operations, advising on staff supervision, utilization, and physician practice evaluation. Her extensive experience in internal medicine and addiction medicine enables her to guide improvements in critical hospital performance metrics like treatment effectiveness and length of stay.
Dr. Danko also serves as Corporate Medical Director of Utilization Management for Prime Healthcare nationally, and she is a clinical professor for the University of Nevada School of Medicine and the appointed physician for the District Board of Health for Northern Nevada Public Health, showcasing her commitment to enhancing healthcare education and standards in our community.
