National and regional honors highlight Saint Mary’s longstanding commitment to exceptional care, patient safety, and clinical excellence, espeically in specialty care
Reno, Nevada (October 28, 2025) – Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center, a member of Prime Healthcare, has achieved numerous accolades for clinical excellence from Healthgrades, one of the most trusted sources in the United States for evaluating hospitals and physicians. Among Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center’s distinctions are five-star ratings for treatment of pneumonia, spinal fusion surgery, and treatment of bowel obstruction. Additionally, Saint Mary’s was named one of America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Spine Surgery for the 10th consecutive year.

No other hospital in northern Nevada was recognized. This recognition, determined by more than 100,000 community votes across Reno, Lake Tahoe, and Carson City, highlights the trust and support Saint Mary’s continues to earn from the community as it was a winner of the Gold category.
Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center’s achievements are based solely on what matters most: patient outcomes.
