New Mother Support Groups

The New Mother’s Support Group meetings are now being offered in both an in-person and online virtual format. Please follow the link below to see details for meeting dates and times. We offer support groups for postpartum women. You do not have to have delivered at Saint Mary’s to participate in these free support groups. They are free and open to the public. See below for more information.

New Mother Support Groups
Depression Support Group

Afterglow Postpartum Depression Support(775) 770-3751 – The Afterglow Postpartum Depression Support Group was created by Ashley Hanna-Morgan LCSW PMH-C and is 6 Week program set to help mothers with tools and resources to combat post-partum depression and anxiety. The group will meet weekly for 6 weeks and will cover topics such as coping tools, self-care, what to expect, questions to ask your provider when considering medication, communicating with your partner, and attachment with your baby despite this illness, as well as provide a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space to process with each other Babies are welcome! Group is FREE and open to all. You do not have to have delivered at Saint Mary’s.

New Mothers Support Group – This support group is FREE and open to new mothers and their infants. Come join us for a time of sharing and support. A new topic concerning the postpartum mother and newborn will be discussed each week, including breastfeeding, sleep issues, normal newborn behavior, and more. A scale is available for weight checks.
