About Our ER Wait Time
ER wait time is the average wait time for a patient to see a registered nurse during the triage (evaluation) process in our ER. After patients are triaged (evaluated), they are seen by qualified medical professionals in priority order, according to their medical condition and reason for visit. Times are approximate and provided for information purposes only.
Saint Mary’s Orthopedic Services offers a complete continuum of care focused on every aspect of musculoskeletal health such as:
- Joint replacement and reconstruction
- Hand and upper extremity
- Foot and ankle
- Sports medicine
Our physical therapists and physical therapy assistants motivate patients and reduce their recovery time. With years of experience in joint replacement rehabilitation and specialized exercises, our team gets patients up and on their feet as quickly as possible – reducing risks of complications.

Fast Track Evaluation Process
Saint Mary’s Emergency Room Department features a medical provider who works in concert with the nursing staff who triages our patients. Care can be implemented at triage if needed, and tests can be initiated even before a patient arrives in his or her room. By expediting care early on, patient satisfaction increases and wait times decrease.
When it comes to heart attacks, the faster the intervention, the better the outcome. The American Heart Association, Society of Chest Pain Centers and American College of Cardiology all recommend a door-to-balloon time of 90 minutes for heart attack patients. Door-to-balloon is the time it takes for a heart attack patient to receive an angioplasty once he or she arrives at the hospital. An angioplasty is a life-saving procedure where a balloon-like device is used to open up the impacted artery. Saint Mary’s interdisciplinary team of caregivers takes a collaborative approach to patient care and is always looking for new ways to improve door-to-balloon time for patients. We are proud of the fact that we lead the region in door-to-balloon time, with an average of 48 minutes.
