Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center Named “Best Hospital” by Best of Sierra Nevada Awards
Reno, Nevada (October 2, 2025) – Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center, a member of Prime Healthcare, has been voted as the Best Hospital in the region according to the 2025 Best of Sierra Nevada awards. This recognition, determined by more than 100,000 community votes across Reno, Lake Tahoe, and Carson City, highlights the trust and support Saint Mary’s continues to earn from the northern Nevada community as it was a winner of the Gold category.
In addition to the top honor of “Best Hospital,” Saint Mary’s had various other service lines recognized as winners as well:
- Silver Winner in the Men’s Health category
- Silver Winner in the Urgent Care/Walk-In Clinic category
- Bronze Winner in the Occupational Therapy category
- Bronze Winner in the Primary Care category

The Best of Sierra Nevada publication, featuring all 2025 winners, became available on October 2 at high-traffic locations throughout the region and online year-round.
This latest recognition builds on a series of recent national honors for Saint Mary’s, including accolades from the American Heart Association’s “Gold Plus” achievement awards for both Heart Failure and Stroke care, as well as recognition by U.S. News & World Report as a “High Performing Hospital” in seven clinical categories. Additionally, Saint Mary’s remains the only hospital in northern Nevada to receive the Healthgrades Patient Safety Award.
